AB - UDC 66.063.8:678.5 V.V. Ivanchenko An experimental apparatus with a vinyl stirrer of a capacity of 0.4 m 3 was designed and made by the Severodonetsk branch of NIIkhimmash. The apparatus is intended for the manufacture of solutions, suspen- sions and emulsions of aggressive substances, and also for processes of chemical reactions at atmospheric pressure and temperatures from 0 to 40~ All parts and units of the apparatus, which come into contact with the mixed medium, are made of vinyl. The body of the apparatus has an elliptical bottom and a removable lid with a hydraulic shutter mounted on it to seal the shaft of the stirrer. The body of the appa- ratus is molded from vinyl sheeting. The notable feature of the construction of the ap- paratus with the plastic vinyl stirrer is the drive unit. Fig. 1.
