(B) International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) On 15 November, the General Assembly of the IFRC adopted the IFRC Declaration on the Post-2015 Millennium Development Goals (). In this declaration, the IFRC states that [g]overnments must lead decisively in taking action to protect the environment for future generations; addressing the negative impacts of climate change; and strengthen- ing the resilience of vulnerable people, their communities and livelihoods to disasters and crises, food insecurity and health related risks, [otherwise] disasters and crises will hinder progress towards sustainable development for years to come (para. 5). In addition, the IFRC took particular note of the impact of technological in- novations on humanitarian action (see World Disasters Report 2013, ).
