We publish articles on a wide range of topics, ranging from antiquity to the present day and embracing musics from classical, popular, and world traditions; the journal has a particular reputation for encouraging fruitful dialogue between musicology and other disciplines. The journal does not impose a strict word limit on submissions, but published articles generally range from c.8,000 to c.15,000 words.
