TY - JOUR AU - Smulakovskii, V. AB - The electronic components as well as the measurement procedure here are much simpler than in the case of a scanistor refractometer [2], because the saw-tooth voltage generator has been eliminated, the amplitude of the output signal is measured with a simpler instru- ment, and the circuit has been designed to ensure a high resolving power. Such refractometers may be used as detectors in column chromatography, for measuring the refractive index of transparent fluids (organic or inorganic), etc. The results of our the- oretical performance analysis have been verified experimentally on solutions of tetrahydro- furan, dioxane, and methyl alcohol.
