AB - The system of excitation automatic control for synchronous motors (SMs) of modern low-voltage complete devices produced in Russia and used for open-mine excavators has been examined. A way to secure the soft mode of operation for a synchronous motor (advanced forcing) for open-mine excavators is suggested.
