Current cordless telephony systems offer a vast array of features and functions, but research shows that few consumers actually use them. This problem extends far beyond con- sumer apathy toward user manuals; too often, phone design and aes- thetics actually impede proper use. To combat this problem, Sony Design Center joined forces with Metaphase Design Group, a St. Louis-based design research firm, olution of a [ordless Phone A multidiscipl inary team employs user-centered design to ensure a highly usable product. for an in-depth investigation into the factors that affect cordless phone usability.
