TY - JOUR AU - Wardynski, Tomasz AB - Maher S. Mahmassani* Reviewed by Tomasz J.tardynski* * INTRODUCTION THE PoLISH LEGAL SYSTEM HAS, during the past few decades, undergone certain major changes which have reflected the economic and political realities in the country. However, such changes notwithstanding, the legal system in Poland has never ceased to belong to the continental law system but has been adapted to these realities. With the economic reforms which have been under way for some time, new legislation has been enacted to attract foreign investment and provide a favorable environment therefor with legal stability. As such reforms continue, it is expected that the environment for foreign investment will be further enhanced. The study which follows in no way attempts to address a specific subject or issue, nor does it claim to be an exhaustive treatise on Polish laws. It is a modest attempt to provide a brief overall view of the legal system, intended to serve as a starting point for individuals interested in seeking a further understanding of Polish laws or in making investments in Poland.
