The newly-developed precision P. G. Strelkov's system dilatometer DKS-900 has a high sensitivity (1·10−1cm), a raised resistance to vibrations, and stable readings.

The dilatometer DKS-900 can be widely used, owing to the special design of its measuring device, for high-precision dilatometric investigations in factory and scientific laboratories. It is now being mass-produced by the Khar'kov Plant Pribor.

It has been found that the errors in determining the temperature coefficient of linear expansion on our precision dilatometer DKS-900 is 3–4 times smaller than that of the Chevenard dilatometer produced by several foreign firms.
