TY - JOUR AU - Jaskot, A AB - The problem of damping mechanical vibrations has been described in the paper. The subject of the research is a dynamic damper consisting of two steel plates and cuboid rubber blocks to dampen vibrations. The upper plate is subjected to forcing, causing the disturbance to propagate. This disturbance will propagate through the top plate and will pass through the damping material to the bottom plate. The damping elements have been modelled from Mooney-Rivlin material. The aim of the work is to investigate the propagation of vibrations and damping of vibrations and to assess the effects resulting from the selection of material constants with the assumed geometry of the tested system. The results included in the work have been obtained based on a comparative analysis, taking into account the linear material and the nonlinear material. Numerical tests have been carried out with the use of ANSYS software.
