TY - JOUR AB - Mexican Studies/Estudios Mexicanos is a cooperative venture of the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States ( UC MEXUS) and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México ( UNAM). MS/EM is a forum for the presentation and discussion of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research that relates to Mexico and its people. The journal sets up an alliance among scholars from all disciplines to address issues that have broad implications for the country. Contributions may be synthetic, interpretive, analytical, or theoretical, but must contribute in a significant way to understanding of cultural, historical, political, social, economic, or scientific factors affecting the development of Mexico. Any article not in itself directly related to Mexico may be accepted if it draws important comparative conclusions specifically to Mexico. All contributions and editorial correspondence should be sent to Jaime E. Rodríguez, Editor, Mexican Studies/Estudios Mexicanos, 240 Krieger Hall, University of California, Irvine, CA 92697-3275. Two copies of each contribution should be submitted, accompanied by a diskette and stamped, self-addressed envelope of suitable size. Manuscripts will be published in either English or Spanish.
