Sour The severe demands now being made on the service characteristics of lathes, internal-combustion engines, other machinery, and measuring instruments necessitate greatly increasing the accuracy with which the internal di- mensions of precision parts are measured. For example, existing State Standards [1-3] refer to measuring errors of 0.1/a or over for dimensions greater than 1 ram. In order to ensure unique and accurate measurements throughout the whole country, a new verification system has now been developed and approved for length-measuring devices [4]. Bearing in mind the special characteristics of internal measurements, this system incorporates (for the very first time) a separate subsystem for testing aperture- diameter measuring devices: a working standard, standard gages of four categories, and working devices. The range of measurements reproducible by the standard is 1-100 ram, and the range of dimensions covered by the standard measuring devices is 1-260 ram. The dimensions of the unit of length are transmitted from the State primary standard by means of a copy stand- ard to the working standard; the mean-square deviation of the result of TI - Metrological provisions for the production of objects with highly accurate internal dimensions JO - Measurement Techniques DO - 10.1007/BF00817636 DA - 2004-11-29 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/metrological-provisions-for-the-production-of-objects-with-highly-HTQyEeQAVe SP - 218 EP - 220 VL - 19 IS - 2 DP - DeepDyve ER -
