TY - JOUR AU - Lagutkin, M. G. AB - The paper presents results of a full-scale experiment on determining the resistance and deformation of polymer Raschig rings loaded with a transverse force. The experiment was carried out in a sulfuric acid medium under conditions comparable to operating conditions in the drying and absorption towers of a sulfuric acid plant. Based on the results of a full-scale experiment and computer modeling, values of the elastic modulus of polymer Raschig rings were obtained depending on the operating parameters of the column units for sulfuric acid production.
