TY - JOUR AB - THROUGH THE LOUPE A PHOTOGRAPHER’S VIEW OF ENTOMOLOGY Treehoppers can be challenging to photograph because most are small, and capturing their sometimes bizarre ornamenta- tion requires high magnification with a shallow depth of field. This treehopper (Membracidae: Heteronotus sp.) was shot in the rainforest of Peru with a Canon 5D MIII, MPE 65 mm macro lens, and twin flash. Photo and caption by Tom Myers (TomVMyers@gmail.com).
