To address related concerns and challenges, the editors invited third level educators from many parts of the globe to share their experience and wisdom, and have thus provided a wealth of information and guidance on a wide range of aspects of teaching and learning in the Web 2.0 environment. The careful editing and organisation of the book ensure that it remains strongly on message throughout its twenty‐one chapters and that this message is easily accessible to the reader. The excellent preface clarifies the terms “Web 2.0” and “social informatics”, considers the implications of these phenomena for tertiary education, and clearly outlines the aims and structure of the book. The detailed Table of Contents includes a succinct summary of each chapter.
