TY - JOUR AU1 - Smith, Kay H. AB - The basic experimental model for the design of the present investigation was the work done by Asch testing the influence of the judgments of others on S's judgments. In this study judgments were made on the Galton bar. It was hypothesized that the degree to which a person yields to the pressure of others was related to ego strength and the degree to which S feels confident in his judgments. S's susceptibility to group pressure was found to be related to the latter, but not the former. From Psyc Abstracts 36:01:3GE69S.
