TY - JOUR AU1 - Lakomskii, V. AB - Electrode thermoanthracite is a very inexpensive component in production batch for carbon and graphitized electrodes, which are widely used in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy. The electrical resistance of monolithic thermoanthracite is measured, along with its temperature coefficient of resistance in the range 20–2540°C. The electrocontact memory of thermoanthracite is established. The research results permit modification of the design of electrofurnaces and the development of a roasting technology for anthracite characterized by half the energy consumption and sharply improved quality (electrical resistivity) of the thermoanthracite.
