AB - An analysis of winter thunder records in China from 250 B.C. to A.D. 1900 shows that there is a relationship between the pattern of winter thunder frequency fluctuation with that of temperature fluctuation. We hypothesized that such a temperature—thunder relationship may possibly be due to the strong frontal movement by cold air masses of well-defined low temperature.
