TY - JOUR AU - Radyukevich, L. AB - The influence of the global economic crisis on Russian metallurgy is analyzed. A sharp drop in internal and external demand for metal products is noted, with an accompanying decline in investment funds for plant modernization. However, in 2020, the introduction of new equipment accelerated, almost to the pace in 2008. The growth in rolling capacity in this period was about 5 million t. The raw materials required for Russian ferrous exports are noted. The steps required for Russian metallurgy to take a leading global position are discussed.
