AB - Case report. Synovial hemangiomas are a rare cause of a nontraumatic hemarthros. We report on a 5-year-old boy with recurring hemarthros of the left knee with normal he- mostasis. MRT suggested a synovial heman- gioma. The tumor was resected by laser abla- tion via arthroscopy. On histological exami- nation a cavernous hemangioma could be demonstrated. Conclusion. After exclusion of a hemostatic disorder a synovial hemangioma should be considered in any case of recurring nontrau- matic hemarthros. MRT is an ideal diagnostic procedure.
