TY - JOUR AU - Ermolenko, A. AB - CHECKING THE STRENGTH OF FIBROUS REINFORCING MATERIALS USED TO MAKE PRODUCTS OUT OF COMPOSITES BY THE METHOD OF CONTINUOUS WINDING A. F. Ermolenko UDC 678.027.94:620.171 io The material of composite shells obtained by the method of continuous winding is created from reinforcing fibers and polymer binders during the shell production process. The reinforcing material is made in the form of batches of fibers or strands of different linear densities wound on a spool. This multi-component material is checked during the production process because there may be differences between different batches of the fibers ("inter- batch" scatter of the material properties) or between different spools within a batch ("intra- batch" scatter), as well as a variation in the strength charcteristics along fibers or strands. The volume of production and the parameters of the material are checked to ensure that no reinforcing material is used which results in substandard characteristics in the final product (the composite). Let us state the problems that need to be solved when setting up a system for checking the quality of the reinforcing material. I. The objective of any tests that are conducted needs to be established. Specifically, it is necessary to arrange to have specimens TI - Checking the strength of fibrous reinforcing materials used to make products out of composites by the method of continuous winding JF - Mechanics of Composite Materials DO - 10.1007/BF00616642 DA - 2004-10-26 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/checking-the-strength-of-fibrous-reinforcing-materials-used-to-make-9vamejPuS9 SP - 622 EP - 627 VL - 26 IS - 5 DP - DeepDyve ER -
