UNIFICATION OF LAW FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE It is not feasible or necessary to duplicate here the rich collec­ tions of bibliographic material on the general background of legal unification and comparative law that may be found in a series of volumes prepared by Charles Szladits: Bibliography on Foreign and Comparative Law. Volume IV (in two volumes) covers 1966-1971 (Oceana, 1975). In the first of thes e two volumes see e.g. 35-36 (unifi­ cation in general), 37-46 (unification in special fields), 310-332 (for­ eign and comparative material on the law of contracts), 334-339 (sales), 499-501 (carriage of goods by sea), 503-505 (commercial pa­ per) . Material prior to 1966 is covered by Dr. Szladits in earlier volumes: Vol. I (1955) (period up to 1953); Vol. II (1962) (covers 1953-1959); Vol. Il l (1968) (covers 1960-1965). As has been noted, Vol. IV covers 1966-1971; materia l subsequent to 1971 is covered in annual supplements (the most recent, published in 1978, covers 1975) and in annua l reports by Dr. Szladits in this Journal.
