TY - JOUR AU - Shirokova, G. AB - METHOD OF EVALUATING THE CORROSIVE PROPERTIES OF FUELS AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CORROSION-RESISTANT ADDITIVES UDC 665.521.5 : 620.193 E, S, Churshukov, A. A. Gureev, I, V. Rozhkov, and G, B, Shirokova Sour crudes from the Eastern and Volga regions constitute approximately 70% of the total crude oil produced in the Soviet Union. Jet and diesel fuels and motor gasolines manufactured from these crudes contain a large amount of sulfur in the form of different organic sulfur compounds, which makes these fuels highly corrosive. Many organizations and institutes are engaged in research to find ways to ennoble sulfurons fuels -by remov- ing the sulfur compounds, using corrosion-resistant additives, etc. At this time, however, the lack of a fairly simple, rapid and depondable method of evaluating the corrosive properties of fuels which takes into account conditions of their storage and use has an adverse effect on the results of this research. Present-day evaluation methods [1-2] either require too much time or they are of a qualitative nature. We have developed and thoroughly checked a rapid laboratory method for the evaluation of corrosive properties of fuels and effectiveness of corrosion-resistant additives which is materially different from our previously published method [3] for TI - Method of evaluating the corrosive properties of fuels and the effectiveness of corrosion-resistant additives JF - Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils DO - 10.1007/BF00731544 DA - 2004-11-18 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/method-of-evaluating-the-corrosive-properties-of-fuels-and-the-90UzwHCaSw SP - 876 EP - 879 VL - 2 IS - 12 DP - DeepDyve ER -
