AB - A method is described for theoretically determining the quality of various methods of automatic correction to the height of filling in press molds. The calculations made with this method, the results of which are confirmed by operating a newly designed mechanical-hydraulic automatic device, show that the best method is to correct the height of the filling proportional to the deviation in the dimension of the preceding product; the irregularity of the height noted in practice in the plungers does not exert any marked adverse effect on the accuracy of the product dimensions.
