Ismailov UDC 615.276.2.033.36 In connection with the growing requirements of clinical transplantology, the search for new drugs withimmunosuppressive properties is receiving considerable attention. The disodium salt of l,l',6,6'-tetrahydroxy-3,3'-dimethyl,5,5'.diisopropyl-7,7',dioxo-2,2'-di- naphthalene-8,8'-dimethyliminoethanesulfonic acid (I), synthesized at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, has been proposed as a new immunosuppressor; its immunosuppressive properties have been studied at Tashkent Medical Institute. In the study of the pharmacokinetics of [~C]-I, the preparation was found to be charac- terized by the following: a nonuniformity of the distribution among organs with maximum accumulation in the liver; prolonged stay of radioactive product in the immunocompetent or- gans, i.e., spleen and thymus; substantial residual radioactivity in many organs after a single intraperitoneal injection; slow elimination of the drug and/or its radioactive metab- olites from the mouse organism (approximately 86% of the radioactivity introduced is elimi- nated, chiefly with the feces, within 7 days), These peculiarities of the distribution of [*~C]-I required a supplementaryinvestigation of the cumulative properties of the drug.
