TY - JOUR AU - Slepenko, D. AB - The bundle of tubes is placed on the straightening machine front tableby an electric bridge crane. The tubes are spread evenly over the bed by the special checker device. Pneumatic vibrators move the tubes up to the feeder stops, and they enter the straightening machine chute one at a time. The magnetic drive roller mounted in the chute takes the tubes into the straightener. The processes of entry, straight- ening, and discharge onto the sloping table of the spindleless trimming machines are automatic. Both flowlines are equipped with low-noise chutes (Fig. 2),installed in front of the seven-roll straight- ening machines. The chute consists of bed 1, tubular sleeve 2, rubber shock absorber 4, and guide plates 3. These chutes greatly reduce the noise in tube straightening and also eliminate any vibration which may act on the foundations of the line units or adjacent mechanism. Adoption of the flowlines has made it possible to release 24 workers for use in other production sectors, increasing productivity, reducing the number of crane operations, regulating the load flow in this sector, and raising the standard of production.
