TY - JOUR AU - Ovsyannikov, A. Yu. AB - Currently, three cooling system approaches are 5used to improve the efficiency of reciprocating compressors: air-, water-, and liquid-injection. In this paper, a method for evaluating the efficiency of various cooling systems in a reciprocating compressor is developed based on the use of coefficients that take into account the value of the heat transfer surface, the heat transfer coefficient, the temperature head, and the heat exchange time during gas compression as the processes determining which main technical work is carried out. The developed evaluation method can be used in the design, research, and operation of cooling systems for reciprocating compressors.
