Yusupov Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine Translated from Metallurg, No. 11, pp. 25-28, November, 1965 TO improve the sifting of fines from agglomerate at the Magnitogorsk Combine a drum screen was designed and tested in 1961; it was mounted on one of the sintering machines behind the stationary grate screen. During the process of testing the experimental model certain design difficulties were found; they were eliminated during the planning of a new drum screen which was mounted on sintering machine No. 12 and was put into use in April 1963. The screen (Fig. 1) consists of a housing, a drum with grate screens, a rear frame with thrust and support toilers, a front frame with support rollers, a drive, and a drum casing. The casing is welded from two cylinders; the outer casing (the bearing casing, made of 25-ram sheet steel) is provided with longitudinal and transverse reinforcement ribs; the inner casing (protective casing) is assembled from individual sheets 14 mm thick bent along the radius, TI - The operation of a drum screen for sifting fines from hot agglomerate JF - Metallurgist DO - 10.1007/BF00732875 DA - 2004-11-18 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/the-operation-of-a-drum-screen-for-sifting-fines-from-hot-agglomerate-5eZa3YhIJ2 SP - 663 EP - 666 VL - 9 IS - 11 DP - DeepDyve ER -
