Libknekht Pipe Mill in Nizhnedneprovsk h&s developed and introduced a method of stabilizing the tube-rolling operation on their tube cold-rolling mill. The method im- proves tube accuracy and makes more efficient use of the equipment. The method was deve- loped on the basis of comprehensive studies of the effect of the working fluid (WF) in the free-running mechanisms (the roller-type overrunning clutches which fee and rotate the distributing reduction gears) on the operating conditions of the feed-rotation apparatus in tube cold-rolling mills (TCRM), as well as the effect of the amount of linear displace- ment of the metal and the angle of rotation per rolling cycle on the accuracy of the di- mensions of the diameter and wall and the ovality and straightness of cold-rolled tubes. Investigators studied the production of bearing tubes of steel ShKhl5. In accordance with GOST 800--78, these tubes have highly accurate dimensions with respect to their diameter (to +0.4 and 0.5 mm for tubes up to and more than 60 mm in diameter, respectively) and wall [to +12%, with no more than 0.3 mm longitudinal curvature (waviness) over a base TI - Improving the quality of bearing tubes JO - Metallurgist DO - 10.1007/BF00740933 DA - 2004-11-20 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/improving-the-quality-of-bearing-tubes-5PO0gOnnmc SP - 106 EP - 108 VL - 25 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
