Meerkop Distilled and apyrogenic distilled water, because it is apyrogenic (does not contain pyrogenic substances), are basic components of many medications. It can play the role of diluent or extractant in the preparation of solutions for injection, mixtures, suspensions, emulsions, tinctures, decoctions, etc. Distilled water is also widely used for technical purposes: rinsing medical glass ware and laboratory implements, washing caps and special medical apparatus, filling the steam chambers of sterilizers, infusion apparatus, etc. Distilled water is obtained by means of medical aquadistillers, andapyrogenic dis- tilled water is obtained by means of apyrogenic aquadistillers. Depending on the form of energy used, aquadistillers are classified as electric or combustion; depending on the num- ber of evaporation stages, as single-stage or multistage; depending on the evaporator pres- sure, as atmospheric, compression, or vacuum; and depending on the presence of a device for the purification of the initial water of contaminants and collection of the resulting dis- tillate, as equipped or not equipped with water treatment and collection devices. At present the domestic medical industry produces TI - A multiple approach to the mechanization of the distillation of water and its delivery to pharmacists' work places JF - Biomedical Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF00556853 DA - 2004-10-15 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/a-multiple-approach-to-the-mechanization-of-the-distillation-of-water-585Wo4IaGQ SP - 113 EP - 116 VL - 19 IS - 4 DP - DeepDyve ER -
