Sukhina Fluid contact parts of type 1.5Kh-6, 2Kh-6, and 3Kh-9 centrifugal pumps are designed for pumping acids, aggressive waste waters, various inorganic and organic products and are made from type S-15, 15Kh28L, 08KhlSN10T, and Kh18N12M3TL steels. In order to replace scarce nickel steels, simplify impeller installation, increase corrosion resistance, and consequently, the service life of the components,we have developed a process for producing rubber im- pellers for centrifugal pumps which includes three components: the bladed impeller, protective bush, and screw cap (Fig. 1). The impeller shank for pumps using mechanical seals is made of rubber and for pumps using soft packing it is made of acid-resistant steel. The design and dimensions of the rubber impeller are similar to those of impellers of series-produced pumps. The impellers are molded to type 7-4004 (TU 38-105-376 -72) specification oil and benzene-resistant rubber which has good wear resistance and strength, and is relatively hard after vulcanization (76 units by the TM hardness meter, 18 kgf/cm 2 by the TShM hardness meter). Corrosion resistance tests of the type 7-4004 rubber showed that it TI - A method of manufacturing rubber impellers for centrifugal pumps JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01144316 DA - 2005-01-28 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/a-method-of-manufacturing-rubber-impellers-for-centrifugal-pumps-4aXHr3F3mj SP - 524 EP - 525 VL - 13 IS - 6 DP - DeepDyve ER -
