Kol'man-Ivanov UDC 62-8.001.57.001.24 The start-up period of rotor machinery, which in the chemical industry includes centrifuges, rotor and hammer mills, and other assemblies driven by an asynchronous electric motor with a squirrel-cage rotor, should not exceed the permissible time because of overheating of the stator coils. For this reason a reliable method for calculating the time needs to be developed. Industrial machines of this type do not have cyclic mechanism and the electric motor is directly connected to the operating elements via the transmission system that constitutes the drive. The mechanical drive system is usually a simple open circuit, and on analysis of the dynamics of the start-up of the assembly, all components of this circuit can be regarded as inertial with concentrated parameters [1]. The equation of motion of a machine assembly generally takes the form [2] M- M~ -- : do~ o~ 2 d: " (i) -a-? + 2 .q, , where M is the torque produced by the motor, in N.m; M* r is the moment of the resistance forces normalized to the motor shaft, in N.m; TI - Dynamics of the start-up period of rotor machinery JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01149091 DA - 2005-01-28 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/dynamics-of-the-start-up-period-of-rotor-machinery-3jf6bhgAaw SP - 427 EP - 430 VL - 31 IS - 8 DP - DeepDyve ER -
