TY - JOUR AU1 - Al'ter-Pesotskii, F. AB - CORROSION CONTROL tN CARBON DISULFIDE PRODUCTION (UDC 661.22 : 620.197) Eng. F. L. Al'ter-Pesotskii Translated from Khimicheskoe i Neftyanoe Mashinostroenie, No. 3, pp. 35-37, March, 1965 Tests were run on some apparatus used in the production of carbon disulfide in process media, with the ob- ject of testing sprayed aluminum and zinc coatings, combinations of paints with a vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate base and ~D-5 epoxy resin base and aluminum metallized substrate, and epoxy resin coatings without a metallized substrate.* The stability of the vinylite resin in carbon disulfide and in aqueous solutions of off-gases from carbon disulfide production was studied on the basis of plate or slab specimens obtained by pressing. Calcium stearate was introduced as a stabilizer during the press forming of the polymer. Aluminum oxide and titanium dioxide powders were added on occasion as pigments to the vinyi chloride and vinyl acetate copolymer base paints. The paints were dried and exposed at room temperature. A 50% alcohol solution of hexarnethylenediamine was added as a curing agent to the solution of ~D-5 epoxy resin in 13g per 100g of resin [1] (Table 1). The paint films were applied by brush in two layers, and dried after TI - Corrosion control in carbon disulfide production JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01136868 DA - 2005-01-27 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/corrosion-control-in-carbon-disulfide-production-3URHFg6JY8 SP - 223 EP - 225 VL - 1 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
