The friction and wear properties of these composite coatings under four different loads (2N, 5N, 8N, 11N) were investigated. The results showed that the composite coatings in the ratio of 30Ni60A/70WC-Co12 had the most excellent performance of friction reduction and wear resistance. Under this ratio, the friction coefficient decreases with the increase of load. Further studies illustrate that the structure of this coating is more conducive to collecting the abrasive debris. In addition, the generation of self-lubricating and transfer films further facilitates the transfer of abrasive particles during the process of friction, thus avoiding the occurrence of the abrasive wear. This study provides technical support in the method of improving the performance of servo steering gear bearings.
