AB - Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of Tuina plus meridian therapeutic apparatus on scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods: Thirty-five cases of scapulohumeral periarthritis were treated by Tuina plus Japan-made SSP meridian therapeutic apparatus in the observation group, and 30 cases were treated by single meridian therapeutic apparatus in the control group. Results: Certain therapeutic effects had been achieved in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis in the two groups. But, there is an obvious difference (P<0.01) in the curative rate between the observation group and control group, and the curative rated was remarkably higher in the observation group than in the control group. Conclusion: Tuina plus meridian therapeutic apparatus is an effective method for scapulohumeral periarthritis.
