TY - JOUR AB - AUTOMATIC EXPERIMENTAL DATA-PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR THE DYNAMIC TESTING OF TRACK AND ROLLING STOCK UDC 625.03.001.5 The apparatus comprised in the system is designed for automation of the probabilistic and statistical processing of data obtained in the testing of track and rolling stock in the form of electrical analog signals. The system is capable of performing the following kinds of experimental data processing. 1. Plotting of univariate and conditional-univariate (i.e., obtained by the processing of realizarions with sorting by equivalence criteria recorded in trial runs onstraightand curved track sections with various speed gradations, etc.) distributions of various parameters (instantaneous values obtained by time and amplitude quantization, maxima, minima, peak-to- trough values, time intervals, etc.). 2. Plotting of bivariate distributions of two different parameters of one process or of concrete single parameters of two processes. 3. Determination of correlative characteristics be- tween processes occurring in track and rolling stock (auto- correlation and cross-correlation functions), as well as the spectral functions for those processes. 4. Determination of in-transit smoothness criteria for railroad equipment, safety factors for the stability of wheels on the rails and the stability of the rail-crosstie grid, and certain other characteristics of the interaction between track and rolling stock.
