TY - JOUR AU - Williamson, Tommy L. AB - This paper describes potential designs for a miniaturized Acoust-Optic Radio Frequency signal excision system with adaptive frequency control. It is proposed that diffractive micro-optical techniques can be used to reduce the system size to 1 mm height, 10 mm width, and 24 mm length. These dimensions compare in size to an integrated optics waveguide approach, but the micro-optics design uses optimized discrete components. This small dimension comes at the expense of a relatively low time bandwidth product, where a value of N equals 200 was used.
