TY - JOUR AB - CALLS FOR PAPERS Special Issue of International Journal of Numerical Modelling: on Parallel and Distributed Processing Techniques for Electromagnetic Field Solution The purpose of this special issue is to focus attention on the use of parallel computing techniques for the computationally efficient solution of Electromagnetic Field problems. Classical modelling of such problems using sequential algorithms is computer intensive, particularly as problem domain size increases. Recent progress on the application of parallel computing techniques for electromagnetic field problem solution indicates that a methodology is maturing whereby computationally efficient solutions can be achieved on a variety of multiprocessor machines, e.g. Connection Machine, Hypercube, Transputer, etc. Papers addressing advances in the application of parallel software and hardware solutions for Electromagnetic Field problems are requested. Relevant topics of interest include, but are not restricted to, parallel hardwarekoftware implementations of the following techniques. Finite Difference-Time Domain Finite Element Methods Boundary and Integral Methods Transmission Line Matrix Method of Moments Spectral Iteration GTD and Ray Methods With emphasis on Parallel Algorithm and Domain Decomposition Strategies Parallelization of Existing Sequential Electromagnetics Code Diakoptics Techniques Computational Algorithm Performance Comparison Multiprocessor Hardware Processor Performance Comparison Special Purpose Machines for EM Field Solution Cellular Automata for EM Field TI - Calls for papers JF - International Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields DO - 10.1002/jnm.1660070508 DA - 1994-09-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/wiley/calls-for-papers-0sbwpKIIOO SP - 375 EP - 375 VL - 7 IS - 5 DP - DeepDyve ER -
