Kirstenbosch Gardening Series, the South African National Biodiversity Institute Kirstenbosch. 119 pp. softback. This is the latest in a series of books published by Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden. An interesting account is given for one of the species where a programme is trying to save its last habitat. Cultivation and Propagation take up much of the book, explaining the three types of growth cycle found within Disa ; summer growing, winter growing and the most well known group of all, the evergreen species, within which belongs Disa uniflora . In these two sections all the techniques that can be used to grow the groups successfully are explained in detail. The whole nature of the plants’ requirements are put into perspective through detailed accounts of their TI - Grow Disas ‐ by Hildegard Crous and Graham Duncan JF - Curtis'S Botanical Magazine DO - 10.1111/j.1467-8748.2008.00617_3.x DA - 2008-05-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/wiley/grow-disas-by-hildegard-crous-and-graham-duncan-0h0yj1jAii SP - 190 VL - 25 IS - 2 DP - DeepDyve ER -
