AB - At the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), a team of safer practice leads covers a range of issues and client groups including women, children, anaesthetics, and nutrition and cleaning. I am the safer practice lead for learning disabilities and took up my post in August. The role of a safer practice lead is to develop, implement and evaluate creative solutions to reduce the risk of patient safety incidents. Each safety lead also feeds expertise in the NPSA programmes of work.
