AB - A number of recent comments warned against the light standard of review applied by EU Courts to Commission's complex economic assessments in competition cases.A close review of the main judgements on this issue demonstrates the lack of pertinence of most concerns in concretely highlighting the great intensity of the standard of review currently applied by the General Court.However, consciousness of today's context in which competition law develops invite judges to clarify any lingering doubts to avoid increasing the Commission's discretionary area.
