AB - A new diastereoisomeric salt, H(+)589–[Co(en)3](d-tart)2·3H2O, has been prepared, and complete resolution of racemic [Co(en)3]3+ cation has been effected by use of this salt. The X-ray structure analysis revealed that this salt has a local “[Co (en)3](d-tart)2” block similar to that previously found in Li(+)589–[Cr(en)3](d-tart)2·3H2O crystal.
