The variations in Iength of the strip arc recorded by means of an electrical micrometer, the design of which is due to Dr (;. A. Shakespear. An ordinary thread recorder is used and the instrument can he placed at any desired distance from the recorder. It is under- stood that check readings with a whirling psychrometer have shown very satisfactory agreement with the traces mer a long period. PHYSIOLOGICAI, APPARATUS. IIY D. T. HARRIS, M.B., D.Sc.
