AB - Abstract The herbicides Roundup® and Krenite® were tested to control sweetfern in red and jack pine plantations. Both significantly reduced sweetfern and other herbaceous plants the first year, but Roundup® at 1 qt/ac and 2 qt/ac dosages gave the best performance during the entire period. Krenite® at a 3 gal/ac dosage also satisfactorily controlled plants, but this dosage burned the pine foliage and was expensive. North. J. Appl. For. 4:16-17, Mar. 1987.
