TY - JOUR AU - Bulynko, A. AB - A study was undertaken to see how the nature of polymers (PVA, CMC, MC, and some others) and their mixtures with alcohols used as temporary binding agents in the plastic (soft-mud) forming process affect the thickness of the boundary layer formed at the interface between corundum and a high-polymer (HP) solution. Its extent was found to increase with an increase in the HP concentration in the solution and with a decrease in the size of the corundum particles. A correlation was found to exist between the packing parameters of disperse systems and the drying properties of green ware.
