Summary The transformation to the guide system of renewable energy requires the flexibilization of the energy system where smart grids are the basis for new grid and market functions with close inclusion of customers’ properties. The E-Energy project moma developed a new procedure for a cellular grid operation with automated processes. In this article, the moma system is put in relation to the architecture of the EU-smart grid mandate 490 as well as to moma flexibilization functions.
