AMS NOTICES NOMINATIO N SUBMISSIONS The Council of the American Meteorological Society invites members of the AMS to submit nominations for consideration by the committees listed below. The names of all individuals nominated, together with background data on the individuals, should be sent to the appropriate committee. The specifications for all awards are set forth in the August 1999 Bulletin, starting on page 1626. 200 0 Nominating Committee Submit documentation for these awards to the AMS The Committee's function is to submit to the Council the Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting with a names of individuals for 1) the offic e of President-Elect for copy to the STAC Commissioner/ a term of one year starting at the close of the 80th Annual Th e Francis W . Reichelderfer Award Meeting (January 2000), and 2) four positions on the Coun- cil for a term of three years starting at the clos e of the Annual Given for distinguished contributions to the provision of Meeting. Nominations must be submitted prior to 1 April operational environmental services to the public.
