Kevin Rowan De GrooteKevin is an independent scholar and archaeologist with research interests in Mediterranean archaeology (especially the first half of the first millennium bce), military history, ancient technologies and experimental archaeology. His PhD in archaeology focussed on the modes of use, effectiveness and development of the Greek hoplite’s offensive weaponry. He has excavated in the UK, Ireland and Greece.Adam L. StorringAdam L. Storring teaches at King’s College London. He was previously Early Career Fellow at the Lichtenberg-Kolleg / Göttingen Institute for Advanced Study, part of the Georg-August-Universität Gottingen. His PhD, supervised by Christopher Clark at the University of Cambridge, was awarded the André Corvisier Prize 2019 by the International Commission of Military History. He has also worked in the British Civil Service and in international development.Alessio FornasinAlessio Fornasin (1962) is Associate Professor of Demography at the University of Udine (Italy). He has a PhD in Economic History and is the author of over 150 works on Historical Demography and Economic History. He has published several articles on the demographic aspects of the First World War in international journals.
