Editorial

Editorial Welcome to the first 2017 issue of our Journal of Youth and Theology (jyt). Let me start with a statement: I am very content with how the journal has been developing in the past years. I have observed an increase in manuscript submissions to the journal. This means that more and more scholars are finding their way to jyt to publish their research. At the same time, our publisher has noted a lot of interest from (potential) readers of jyt during different international theological conferences where the journal, among other publications, was promoted. I myself had a positive personal experience during the annual meeting of the Religious Education Association this past November in Pittsburgh. There I had a chance to promote the journal personally. I met a lot of (young) PhD students who expressed serious interest in considering jyt to publish part of their research results. I really hope that you as a reader and colleague in youth ministry research will promote the journal in your own networks too, as I think it deserves a broad readership. The current issue is, again, an example of interesting research-based reflections within the field of youth and theology. The opening article is Stephie http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Youth and Theology Brill
