Abstract

This paper reports the occurrence of perforated ray cells in the wood of Sloanea lasiocoma K. Schum. (Elaeocarpaceae) and on the occasional presence of scalariform perforation plates, of trabeculae in vessel elements and fibres, as well as series of perforated ray cells in the wood of Casearia obliqua Spreng.
