Fahy, 'Le Istruzioni pra­ tiche ad un novella capo-stampa di Zefirino Campanini (1789)', QSt, 72: 69g-722, presents an unpublished manual from the Biblioteca Palatina of Parma by Campanini, who had worked under Bodoni; it is concerned not only with the practical side of printing but also with its economic and financial aspects. M. G. Tavoni, 'Filippo Argelati, libraio a Bologna (1702-1720)', ib., 787-819, shows how Argelati ran a books hop of quality material, which gives a fascinating glimpse of this very practical aspect of cultural life in Bologna; Argelati later went to Milan, where he was a major promoter of the Rerum Italicorum Scriptores, but he continued to run the Bologna shop. Antolini, 'Editori, copisti, commercio della musica in Italia, 177G-I800', StMus, 18:273-375, gives an enormous amount of information about the music book trade in Italy, with sections devoted to Venice, Naples, Florence and also to the particular technical problems of printing music.
